THANK YOU!  Thank you so much for a great start to our year. The children were excited, prepared, and hard working. I also appreciate all the supplies that were sent in. They will be very useful throughout the year.

END OF DAY ROUTINE:   Thank you so much for greeting your child at the end of the day at the south door last week.   Due to some hallway congestion, we will now be walking out the west door starting on Tuesday. Please continue to meet your child at your designated area outside the fence.

STAR OF WEEK: This is one of my favorite parts of teaching 2nd grade. Every child gets to be a star for an entire week. During that week, students can do so many things to highlight who they are and all that they love. In the week before I will send home a poster and a letter outlining all the details. Please look for a list to come home this week with the date that will be your child's week. Thank you for checking the list for any conflicts with days that you may be traveling. I try to arrange it around your child's birthday or half birthday but sometimes this is not possible. Please let me know if you have any questions.

NWEA:  Our window for taking the reading and math NWEA will be from Sept.11th - Sept. 22nd. Students cannot prepare for this test ahead of time.  Please continue to have your child get plenty of rest each night and eat a healthy breakfast.  Thank you.

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT:  Please put September 18th on your calendar for Back To School Night. I will send info on times once I have receive them.

LAPS TO LINCOLN:  Mark your calendars for Friday, September 29th, 5-7pm for our Laps for Lincoln celebration! More information is in the PTO News that was sent home on Friday.

GETTING TO KNOW YOU SURVEY: Please complete the online survey for your child if you have not already done so. Thank you to everyone who has completed this request.

MRS. KNUTH’S BLOG:  Please visit the Lincoln School Family Blog to stay updated on what is happening at Lincoln School this year.  Links to all the teachers' blogs can be found here as well.

CLASSROOM ALLERGIES: At this time our classroom allergy is an intolerance to lactose. Thank you for being thoughtful to this when sending in treats.

DAILY SCHEDULE:  Please remember that the beginning of the school day is one of the most important times as the day’s expectations and routines are established.   Having your child to school on time means they don’t walk into the room and start their day trying to figure out what is happening.  Thank you so much for your help with this.
